The allocation funded activities recognizing the 50^th anniversary of the appointment of Canadian Governors GeneralThe activities included: anniversary initiatives (youth forum, historical exhibit, concert at Rideau Hall); six major regional visits; legacy initiatives (commemorations at Rideau Hall & La Citadelle; production of commemorative coinage by the Mint); and communications in support of the occasion and events planned.
