This diagram shows Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s former Program Activity Architecture for 2010-2011 (on the left side) and the new one for 2011–2012 (on the right side) and how the previous Program Activities (PA) correspond to the new ones.  The former PA 1, Immigration Program, corresponds to five of the new PAs: PA 1.1, Permanent Economic Residents, PA 2.1, Family and Discretionary Immigration, PA 2.2, Refugee Protection, PA 4.1, Health Management, and PA 4.2, Migration Control and Security Management.

The former PA 2, Temporary Resident Program, corresponds to three of the new PAs: PA 1.2, Temporary Economic Residents, PA 4.1, Health Management, and PA 4.2, Migration Control and Security Management.

The former PA 3, Canada’s Role in International Migration and Protection, corresponds to the new PA 4.3, Canadian Influence in International Migration and Integration Agenda.

The former PA 4, Refugee Program, corresponds to three of the new PAs: PA 2.2, Refugee Protection, PA 4.1, Health Management, and PA 4.2, Migration Control and Security Management.

The former PA 5, Integration Program, corresponds to the new PA 3.1, Settlement and Integration of Newcomers.

Finally, the former PA 6, Citizenship Program, corresponds to three of the new PAs: PA 3.2, Citizenship for Newcomers and All Canadians, PA3.3, Multiculturalism for Newcomers and All Canadians, and PA 4.3, Canadian Influence in International Migration and Integration Agenda.
