Strategic Outcomes, Program Activities and Service Organization

This chart describes the strategic outcomes, program activities and service organization of Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). PWGSC’s 26 program activities are divided into 2 strategic outcomes: Quality Services and Sound Stewardship. These outcomes are grouped organizationally into 8 branches: Real Property; Acquisitions; Information Technology; Receiver General and Public Service Compensation; Consulting Information and Shared Services; Audit Services; Translation Services; and Greening of Government Operations.

Real Property has 4 program activities. They include: Federal Accommodation and Holdings (which supports the Quality Services strategic outcome); Real Property Services Revolving Fund (which supports the Quality Services strategic outcome); Real Property Disposition Revolving Fund (which supports the Quality Services strategic outcome); and Real Property Stewardship (which supports the Sound Stewardship strategic outcome).

Acquisitions has 4 program activities. They include: Acquisition Services (which supports the Quality Services strategic outcome); Optional Services Revolving Fund (which supports the Quality Services strategic outcome); Defence Production Revolving Fund (which supports the Quality Services strategic outcome); and Acquisition Stewardship (which supports the Sound Stewardship strategic outcome).

Information Technology has 3 program activities. They include: Information Technology Infrastructure Services (which supports the Quality Services strategic outcome); Telecommunications and Informatics Common Services Revolving Fund (which support the Quality Services strategic outcome); and Information Technology Infrastructure Stewardship (which supports the Sound Stewardship strategic outcome).

Receiver General and Public Service Compensation has 5 program activities. They include: Receiver General Services (which supports the Quality Services strategic outcome); Public Service Compensation Services (which supports the Quality Services strategic outcome); Receiver General Stewardship (which supports the Sound Stewardship strategic outcome); Public Service Pay Stewardship (which supports the Sound Stewardship strategic outcome); and Public Service Pension Stewardship (which supports the Sound Stewardship strategic outcome).

Consulting, Information and Shared Services has 3 program activities. They include: Information Services (which supports the Quality Services strategic outcome); Consulting and Audit Canada Revolving Fund- Consulting Services (which supports the Quality Services strategic outcome); and Information Stewardship (which supports the Sound Stewardship strategic outcome).

Audit Services has 1 program activity. It includes: Consulting and Audit Canada Revolving Fund- Audit Services (which supports the Quality Services strategic outcome).

Translation Services has 3 program activities. They include: Linguistic Services (which supports the Quality Services strategic outcome); Translation Bureau Revolving Fund (which supports the Quality Services strategic outcome); and Linguistic Stewardship (which supports the Sound Stewardship strategic outcome).

Greening of Government Operations has 2 program activities. They include: Greening of Government Operations Services (which supports the Quality Services strategic outcome); and Greening of Government Operations Stewardship (which supports the Sound Stewardship strategic outcome).
