Green Procurement
1. |
How is your department planning to meet the objectives of the Policy on Green Procurement?
|
|
It should be noted that the Canadian Human Rights Commission is not an asset intensive organization. Most of its material assets consist of computer and office equipment, furniture and stationery supplies. The majority of the Commission’s commodity expenditures relate to contracts for services rather than
purchase of goods. However, when goods are procured, the Commission supports the protection of the environment and sustainable development. It ensures that its procurement activities take into account and observe environmental performance considerations set out in the Policy on Green Procurement.
