Background
Every two years, the thresholds in the international trade agreements are updated. This Notice amends the thresholds in Contracting Policy Notice 2009-3 to provide new thresholds, which are expressed in Canadian dollars. All thresholds are for the period January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2013. The thresholds for the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) remain unchanged for entities listed in Annex 502.1A at $25,000 for goods and $100,000 for services and construction. The AIT thresholds for Entities of a Commercial or Industrial Nature listed in Annex 502.3 remain unchanged at $500,000 for goods or services and $5,000,000 for construction services.
