Ebola virus disease - information for employees
The health and safety of all Canadians, including federal public service employees, are of the utmost importance to the Government of Canada.
Federal Employee Ebola Recruitment Campaign
The Government of Canada has launched the “Join the Fight Against Ebola” campaign to promote and encourage the recruitment of Canadian healthcare workers through the Canadian Red Cross to support efforts at Ebola Treatment Centres in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea.
The Government is proud to support this effort by granting federal employees leave with pay to ensure that they continue to receive their full salary while they volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross.
Federal employees have a history of playing a critical role in humanitarian efforts and this campaign in West Africa is no different.
Consult the employee and manager questions and answers for additional information on the types of positions available and the approval required to volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross.
