A Treasury Board information or technology standard (TBITS) is one that has been approved by the Treasury Board for mandatory use throughout the federal government of Canada. The following are active TBITS in force:

The following TBITS were rescinded by Treasury Board as mandatory policy instruments on government organizations on September 17, 2009. The rescinding of these documents reflected the need to retire obsolete standards as well as lessen the burden of policy compliance and reporting requirements on government organizations commensurate with TB policy suite renewal objectives.

TBS CIOB in consultation with government organizations is currently developing a non-mandatory "Guideline on Industry Standards for IT" will reconsider for inclusion updated versions and application of domestic and international standards from several of the rescinded standards notably TBITS 13, 18, 19, 20, 21, 27, and 28.
