Departmental Spending Trend, 2007-2008 to 2009-2010

Spending for departmental programs increased in 2009-10 from previous years – a $774.4 million and $542.4 million increase from 2007-08 and 2008-09 levels respectively. Overall, the spending increase for programs in 2009-10 is primarily associated with the EAP.

2007-2008: 2,145.1 billions dollars for Estimates, 2,153.5 billions dollars for Planned, 3,540.4 billions dollars for Authorized, 3,341.1 billions dollars for Actuals.

2008-2009: 2,342.8 billions dollars for Estimates, 2,350.0 billions dollars for Planned, 4,886.9 billions dollars for Authorized, 4,677.5 billions dollars for Actuals.

2009-2010: 3,639.9 billions dollars for Estimates, 3,910.9 billions dollars for Planned, 3,583.0 billions dollars for Authorized, 3,491.3 billions dollars for Actuals, 350.0 millions dollars for EAP Planned, 338.7 millions dollars for EAP Actuals
