Strategic Outcome and Program Activity Architecture

The strategic outcome for Commission programs reads as follows: Equality, respect for human rights and protection from discrimination by fostering understanding of, and compliance with, the Canadian Human Rights Act and the Employment Equity Act by federally regulated employers and service providers, as well as the public they serve. The four Commission programs that aim for this strategic outcome are the Human Rights Knowledge and Dissemination Program, the Discrimination Prevention Program, the Human Rights Dispute Resolution Program and Internal Services.

Expenditure Profile

Graph depicting the Commission’s Departmental Spending Trends over the last three years. There was an increase of $1.5 million in 2007-08 and $2.3 million in 2008-09 between Main Estimates and Total Authorities, which was mainly due to temporary funding. An increase of 3 million between Main Estimates and Total Authorities in 2009-2010 was also mainly due to temporary funding.
