Departmental Structure

Level 1:

There are three Deputy Ministers: the Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development Canada, also the Chairperson of the Canada Employment Insurance Commission, the Senior Associate Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development and Chief Operating Officer for Service Canada, and the Deputy Minister of Labour.

Level 2:

The Assistant Deputy Minister of Labour and Head, Federal Mediation and Conciliation Services reports to the Deputy Minister of Labour.

The Commissioner for Employees reports to the Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development Canada and to the Senior Associate Deputy Minister of Human Resources Skills Development Canada.

The Commissioner for Workers reports to the Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development Canada and to the Senior Associate Deputy Minister of HRSDC.

Level 3:

The Executive Director, Policy Research Initiative reports to the Deputy Minister and to the Senior Associate Deputy Minister of HRSDC.

The Chief Financial Officer reports to the Deputy Minister and to the Senior Associate Deputy Minister of HRSDC.

The Senior General Counsel reports to the Deputy Minister and the Senior Associate Deputy Minister of HRSDC.

The Assistant Deputy Minister of the Human Resources Services reports to the Deputy Minister and to the Senior Associate Deputy Minister of HRSDC.

The Chief Audit Executive reports to the Deputy Minister and to the Senior Associate Deputy Minister of HRSDC.

The Chief Information Officer reports to the Deputy Minister and to the Senior Associate Deputy Minister of HRSDC.

The Corporate Secretary reports to the Deputy Minister and to the Senior Associate Deputy Minister of HRSDC.

Level 4:

The Senior Assistant Deputy Minister of Service Management (Service Canada) reports to the Chief Operating Officer for Service Canada and to the Deputy Minister of HRSDC.

Level 5:

The Senior Assistant Deputy Minister and the Associate Assistant Deputy Minister of Skills and Employment report to the Deputy Minister and to the Senior Associate Deputy Minister of HRSDC.

The Assistant Deputy Minister of Learning reports to the Deputy Minister and to the Senior Associate Deputy Minister of HRSDC.

The Assistant Deputy Minister of Public Affairs and Stakeholder Relations reports to the Deputy Minister and to the Senior Associate Deputy Minister of HRSDC.

The Senior Assistant Deputy Minister and the Associate Assistant Deputy Minister of Income Security and Social Development report to the Deputy Minister and to the Senior Associate Deputy Minister of HRSDC.

The Senior Assistant Deputy Minister and the Associate Assistant Deputy Minister of Strategic Policy and Research report to the Deputy Minister and to the Senior Associate Deputy Minister of HRSDC.

The Assistant Deputy Minister of Program Operations reports to the Deputy Minister and to the Senior Associate Deputy Minister of HRSDC.

The Executive Heads Services Management (Service Canada) report to the Chief Operating Officer for Service Canada and to the Deputy Minister of HRSDC.

The Assistant Deputy Minister of Operations (Service Canada) reports to the Chief Operating Officer for Service Canada and to the Deputy Minister of HRSDC.

The Assistant Deputy Minister of Integrity Services (Service Canada) reports to the Chief Operating Officer for Service Canada and to the Deputy Minister of HRSDC.

The Assistant Deputy Minister of Citizen Services (Service Canada) reports to the Chief Operating Officer for Service Canada and to the Deputy Minister of HRSDC.
